Premarital Counseling

Premarital Counseling

2/8/23  Hello, I am currently not available for any new appointments at this time and for the foreseeable future. I am not maintaining a waitlist. I will change this message with updates.

The premarital availability once my schedule opens again to new people is for individual adult therapy only; although couples sessions are not currently available, I am available for relational/premarital counseling on the individual therapeutic basis.

Premarital counseling typically involves 4-10 one hour sessions of valuable conversations to build a strong, healthy and successful marriage or partnership. It is recommended, but not necessary, to begin 6 months prior to your wedding date allowing extra sessions if desired. Often times couples find there is one or two areas of the process they would like to spend extra time. Sometimes people come after they've already gotten married, and that works just fine too.

Overview of Premarital Counseling

10 General Main Areas:

It's normal and common to cover 1-3 main areas more than others. It's also ok to skip or spend little or more time on some of the areas depending on your preference and needs.

It is most important to gain some understanding and development in any main area you and your partner would like.
